This was pretty fucking sweet. Although, I have to say I enjoyed R.R.'s film much more than Quentin Totonios offering. I'll take zombies and fake blood over annoying australians any day. (Kurt Russell was kick ass, though.)
Did you sleep through the part where the "annoying Australian" almost killed herself riding on the hood of that car going 80 mph?
I saw that part, and it was damn cool, but I guess I just thought the zombies were more fun. (Plus, I wanted Kurt Russell to win) Could have been the pacing, as you suggested, or I am a stuck up priggish scenster. Either way, it was a great three hours at the Movie Tavern. Damn, I had to piss by the end, though. They should give you a freakin diaper if your gonna watch this film at a place that serves beer.
Oh, movie tavern. Yeah, I got smashed at THE DEPARTED there and angrily stormed out. And no, most of the "stuck up scenesters" are the ones trashing PLANET TERROR. You're just a surly old drunk.
Apparently they threw a Jack Burton tank top on the wall in the Background at the chili parlor?! I read that, but don't remember seeing it.
Need to go check it out again.
