The first film, obviously holds a very special place in mine and the Wreck's heart. It's probably my all-time favorite movie. I think the time for digging up a new one has passed, sadly. Again, we'll see. I'm just not holding my breath on this one. Plus, sweet baby FUCK...look at Egon! Seriously. Fuck.

I've heard that the latest is that a) Bill Murray is close to signing on, and that b) the favored script has the original four returning in "mentor" roles to a new generation of 'busters.
My guess is that Judd Apatow will have some involvement, as will his posse of talented, yet overrated progney - Rogen, Hill, Segal, etc.
Unnecessary and desperate beyond belief. I'm sure Dan Akyroyd was the first to say yes, seeing as how his career is a complete joke, and not to mention, he's about as big of a whackjob asshole as they come these days.
Didn't they learn their lesson back in '89? That one tried as hard as it could to stomp the charms and brilliance out of the original.
